Our Products and Services

Hoover Oilfield Supply is a manufacturer's Distributor for numerous products and equipment.  It also supplies a wide range of tubular products, including OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods), Line Pipe for hookups, gathering, transportation and distribution (both coated & plain) and our newest line of Flexible Pipe.

Hoover Oilfield Supply carries an inventory of OCTG from both domestic (USA) and foreign mills.  In an International Market, Hoover has found that certain reputable foreign manufacturers tend to be more cost effective for deliveries straight from the mill.  However, if timing is an issue and longer delivery times are unacceptable, then Hoover can be highly competitive with "in-stock" inventories shipped directly from the United States, within a four-week delivery time.
The Flexible Pipe market is now a proven industry for oil and gas, which has seen the development of newer high-pressure and high-temperature products, with maximum operating pressures up to 4,000 psi and maximum temperatures exceeding 250F.  These products are based on the manufacturing principals for "Thermoplastics" (material which is easy to mold and shape when heated and will melt with a high enough temperature).  In addition to being flexible, each pipe is produced in rolls of up to 3,800ft lengths and is resistant to corrosion.
Polyethylene's use as a piping material was first developed in the mid 1950's.  In North America, its original use was in oil field production where a flexible, tough and lightweight piping product was needed to fulfill the needs of a rapidly developing oil and gas production industry. The success of polyethylene pipe in these installations quickly led to its use in natural gas distribution where a coilable, corrosion-free piping material could be fusion joined in the field to assure a "leakfree" method of transporting natural gas to homes and businesses. Polyethylene's success in this critical application has not gone without notice and today it is the material of choice for the natural gas distribution industry. Sources now estimate that nearly 95% of all new gas distribution pipe installations in North America that are 12" in diameter or smaller are polyethylene piping.(2)
Hoover Oilfield Supply is a distributor and certified installer of a number of these products, beginning with the most common, low-pressure polyethylene Performance Pipe's DriscoPlex(r) piping products (manufactured by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, a joint venture company between Chevron Corporation and Phillips Petroleum Company).  This product is widely used across the globe, but with limited operating pressures and temperatures.
In addition to the DriscoPlex(r) products, Hoover is also a distributor and certified installer for Flexsteel(r), a new high-pressure, steel reinforced polyethylene product which comes in various sizes from 2" OD to 6"OD, and with maximum operating pressures up to 2,250 psi.
Our newest line of thermoplastic pipe is called Thermoflex(r).  This product utilizes advanced polymers with nylons and kevlar materials, which are lighter and stronger than steel reinforcing and give higher Tensile Strength properties.  Also, the elimination of the polyethylene allows for maximum operating temperatures to exceed 250F.
Although an important component of the company, Hoover Oilfield Supply does not rely entirely on tubular products to support the industry.  Hoover also carries an extensive line of products for both drilling and production operations.  To date, Hoover has furnished equipment and services to assist in the rigging out of six, completely refurbished drilling rigs that have been restored to service.  Hoover Oilfield Supply carries a complete inventory of valves and piping for mud systems, water systems and high-pressure choke/kill systems.  Hoover has the ability to quickly source and ship those difficult to find parts, weather they are replacement parts for older model equipment or OEM parts that have long delivery times
450hp Taylor Rig - Hoover Oilfield Supply furnished all drilling support items, including Mud System, BOP's, Drill Pipe and all Handling Tools, etc.

Often overlooked by other service companies, the stocking of necessary parts and equipment for the Production and Lease Maintenance phase of the oil & gas industry is Hoover's core business.  We stock thousands of different items at our field stores to satisfy the needs of our customers, insuring minimum "down time".  Hoover makes every effort to communicate with our customers so that we will have the necessary replacement equipment or parts "on-the-shelf" when the time comes, thus reducing the amount of inventory each operator must carry in the field.  You will find most everything, from a wide assortment of valves and fittings, pressure gauges and instrumentation to tools, wrenches and support equipment.

Included in Hoover's production line are the normal Safety and Environmental Products, necessary in today's modern oil & gas industry.  The normal everyday items, such as hard hats, steel toed shoes, safety glasses to the more unusual, such as helipad safety landing lights and windsocks.  For environmental protection and clean-up, every field operation must have ready-access to oil pollution booms and oil absorbent pads, microorganisms that will bio-remediate absorbed hydrocarbons, and bio-degradable washes and detergents.  Hoover carries a complete line of Oil Gator(r) products, Peat Sorb (r) and Ken-Gro Bio Sorb(r) products.
